Honestly, it was SO fun compared to A touch of Darkness。 I preferred much more Hades POV, everything was 100% more funny, sarcastic and interesting。 Also I'm living for Hermes jokes, Hades horniness and angst, and Hecates telling him that he's an idiot。 We learned so much more about the gods and their world。 I didn't feel time passing while listening to this audiobook, really! 3。5I enjoyed a Touch of Darkness for what it was, and I didn’t think I needed any other information about the story, but I’m glad I read this! I ended up enjoying Hades’s POV more than I did Persephone’s, and I liked the added details about how he spent his time when he wasn’t with Persephone。 Overall, this was mostly supplemental and not totally necessary, but a fun ride!

6🌟I absolutely love getting another POV。 I know its the story of ATouch of Darkness - but getting to see it from Persephone and then from Hades, getting what he has been up to and feeling - LOVE 💜 IT 💜

I just finished this book and I loved seeing Hades perspective。 It answered some questions you get from reading the first book and puts you through his thought processes and how he is viewing the same situations。 It is so cute how protective of her he is and how much he loves her。

I really enjoy books that are the other side of the POV so i can see what the other side is feeling and seeing。 This is no exception。 You can feel the emotions that Hades is feeling and how hard he's trying to keep Persephone。 There's even an extra plot line in the background of Silas that you don't see with Persephone and why he hides things from her in a Touch of Ruin。I will say that this is not a work of art and it is just a smut read with Hades and Persephone low fantasy peppered in。 Some of I really enjoy books that are the other side of the POV so i can see what the other side is feeling and seeing。 This is no exception。 You can feel the emotions that Hades is feeling and how hard he's trying to keep Persephone。 There's even an extra plot line in the background of Silas that you don't see with Persephone and why he hides things from her in a Touch of Ruin。I will say that this is not a work of art and it is just a smut read with Hades and Persephone low fantasy peppered in。 Some of the writing isn't stellar, but overall it's very good for what i was looking for, which was a quick and easy read where i could see Hades POV。Smut is less than the original since it's hades POV and it would be hard to add extra in there without showing changes to the story。Plot: 4/5Dialogue: 5/5Pacing: 4。5/5Characterizations 4/5Romance: 5/5Smut: 4/5Spice 2/5 。。。more

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it, click here。 Me emocionaba bastante conocer todo desde la perspectiva de Hades y aún que al principio me atrapó el libro y no podía parar de leer llega un momento que cansa que casi cada párrafo está pensando en sexo, dioses es tan trillado que a pesar de que tiene preocupaciones más grandes solo pueda pensar en eso。

If you want a very guilty pleasure, this is it。 Be forewarned though, this is so much smutier than a Touch of Darkness。 I absolutely love Hades, but in some parts of this book he came out as angsty teenager, who can't think about anything else but。。。 And that would be okay, except that he is suppose to bet thousands of years old and have experience, so you might think that he should have had this lust under control。 Quite literally, he couldn't have a single conversation with Persephone without If you want a very guilty pleasure, this is it。 Be forewarned though, this is so much smutier than a Touch of Darkness。 I absolutely love Hades, but in some parts of this book he came out as angsty teenager, who can't think about anything else but。。。 And that would be okay, except that he is suppose to bet thousands of years old and have experience, so you might think that he should have had this lust under control。 Quite literally, he couldn't have a single conversation with Persephone without think of f***ing her。 Hades Pov did not add many things to the plot, but I hardly think that anyone reads this book for the plot 😂 I needed more scenes with Hermis and Hecatie, they both are absolute gems calling on Hades' BS。 I also very thoroughly enjoyed all the scenes with other Gods。So yeah, pick this book up at your own risk and never listen to it in public on speakers, 😂 。。。more

3。5。 Some of the plot holes were filled, but many weren’t。 Hades is a way more interesting character than Persephone。

I loved this point of view。 The only thing that I found slightly irritating was what appeared to be some typos。。 as well as incorrect word usage that didn’t make sense or didn’t fit the timing and dialogue- which always throws off the reading。 But still a great read。

Having finished the other two novels in the Hades and Persephone series in only two days, I was eager for more, so when I found out that this book had been written using Hades' perspective I jumped at the chance to keep enjoying some of my favorite characters。 Does this book significantly further the plot? No。 Does that matter? Nope, as I was very aware that this was basically a retelling of the events in A Touch of Darkness but from Hades' POV。 Now, if I already loved Hades in the original book Having finished the other two novels in the Hades and Persephone series in only two days, I was eager for more, so when I found out that this book had been written using Hades' perspective I jumped at the chance to keep enjoying some of my favorite characters。 Does this book significantly further the plot? I enjoyed this more than I thought I would。 Hades actually did have stuff going on when not with Persephone, so it wasn't completely just a repeat of book 1。 I mean there was still repeat of some scenes。 I enjoyed this more than I thought I would。 Hades actually did have stuff going on when not with Persephone, so it wasn't completely just a repeat of book 1。 I mean there was still repeat of some scenes。 。。。more

Great Adaptation to Modern DayI have always been partial to the God of the Underworld。 Hades has always been an intriguing character to me。 I have read A Touch of Darkness and decided to read the story from Hades POV before continuing on with ATOD series。。。。 if you aren’t familiar this is the same story just from Hades POV whereas ATOD is from Persephone’s POV。 I enjoyed ATOD but was frustrated with Persephone’s character。 In my opinion this version is by far better!! It has the steam, the behind the scenes story of why Hades behaves the way he does。Honestly this story is beautifully written。 The way the author takes these mythological stories and adapts them to modern day is so impressive。 The gods walk among mortals living in sprawling mansions and owning modern day businesses is written in such a creative and original way。 The story flows well。 As with most romance novels their is a level of frustration from a lack of communication and fear of rejection but that is a sign of a good romance。 I did see several negative reviews for ATOD and honestly all of the unanswered questions in that book are answered in this one。 My only negative thoughts for this book are I wish it would have been spicier。 This is the God of the Underworld for heaven’s sake! He’s the embodiment of darkness and sin and barely controlled violence and pain。 He should have been a Dom, this book could use some light BDSM。 Persephone would make the perfect sub。 Her mother Demeter has oppressed her her whole life so she is naturally submissive but has a fiery dark streak that would make her game for a little pain play。。。。。 idk just saying。 I would definitely recommend this book although I did give it 4 out of 5 stars because I felt the steam was lacking。**Happy Reading!** 。。。more

Extra heat for its counterpartExcellent addition to the HXP story, this time from Hades perspective。 I recommend reading in combination, or right before/after ATOD

Pretty much the first book in Hades POV。 I do like that he had other things going on。 And looking back, it was definitely more interesting than Persephone's version lol。 But since I already read the first book and everything that happened, this took a minute to finish。 Hades is a guilty sweetheart tho。 Pretty much the first book in Hades POV。 I do like that he had other things going on。 And looking back, it was definitely more interesting than Persephone's version lol。 But since I already read the first book and everything that happened, this took a minute to finish。 Hades is a guilty sweetheart tho。 。。。more

Soo good and such an original idea for the Hades and Persephone series to be told from Hades’ perspective in an entire new series itself!! It was very interesting to have his point of view and to have an insight on his personality as he is known to be very quiet and distant :)

For me this book got a bit boring。 Still good to read from Hades side but I felt it needed something more。

Loved it! I already love "A Touch of darkness" but this is probably even better sometimes because, let's be honest, Persephone can be at times and being in Hades mind was amazing。 I loved to see more of the other gods and what they do and the only thing I didn't like completely was that the story felt less detailed, but probably just because the author didn't want to be too repetitive。 Highly reccomend! * 2 STARS *I had hopes for this one - big ass expectation for a book told in Hades’ POV。 He, god of the Underworld, brother of Zeus, deserved better than what this book did for him。In the previous book, one narrated by the whiny, annoying, naïve Persephone made Hades stand out as this interesting, mature god with more depth to his character。 Granted, maybe I felt like that because P was obnoxiously infuriating and I was clinging to the only part of the story that I felt had potential。This, like * 2 STARS *I had hopes for this one - big ass expectation for a book told in Hades’ POV。 He, god of the Underworld, brother of Zeus, deserved better than what this book did for him。In the previous book, one narrated by the whiny, annoying, naïve Persephone made Hades stand out as this interesting, mature god with more depth to his character。 Granted, maybe I felt like that because P was obnoxiously infuriating and I was clinging to the only part of the story that I felt had potential。This, like I said before, did not deliver what I expected。 It was more interesting as the Greek mythology part seemed to take a more important spot on the story and even the plot felt more believable in this instance, but something was still not right。 I hated (again) how we're suppose to swoon when Hades is like "hey, don't treat women like trash" but then goes and treats his assistant (that he f*cked) like the dirt beneath his boots while sending that same assistant mixed messages (sorry, but if you tell someone they mean nothing to you, then they are you date to an event and then you abandon that same person in favor of someone else, that's dick behavior in my book)。 Not to forget that Hermes (yes, he is the comic relief and yes, he is occasionally funny) is slut shaming that same assistant in his presence and all Hade's does is smirk。 My next complaint (again) is the lack of finesse when it comes to the steamy (I use this term very lightly in the context of this book and Touch of Darkness) parts。 It was plain uncomfortable to read all the hard, fast, raw, deep。 These scenes are so bland that you cannot overlook these chafing words。 One more thing - I get that I have to suspend my disbelief when reading certain parts, but I cannot indulge this anymore: what freaking woman on this green earth climaxes multiple times from first sexual encounter outside Fifty Shades Planet? Not even ONE mention of feeling at least uncomfortable the first time and he sure doesn't hold back his eagerness。 I guess now Hades has a magic d*ck。 (thanks for reading this far! comment if you did so I can personally thank you!)。 。。。more

You will get a great deal more out of this book than you will A Touch of Darkness, as you get a much better view of Hades' relationship with the other Divine and Olympus which actually makes for a fairly decent plot overall in comparison to A Touch of Darkness (and the subsequent Persephone POV's)。There is less fluff, but plenty of smut。 You will get a great deal more out of this book than you will A Touch of Darkness, as you get a much better view of Hades' relationship with the other Divine and Olympus which actually makes for a fairly decent plot overall in comparison to A Touch of Darkness (and the subsequent Persephone POV's)。There is less fluff, but plenty of smut。 。。。more

I like the idea that we see Hades side of the relationship, and everything he was doing in ATOD。 More interesting (and funny) learning about his relationship with the other Gods, his sarcasm and blunt truth is just the best。 Honestly it was funnier than ATOD because Hades spends his time in a constant cycle of emotions from angst to horny and back again with the added laugh out loud moments when Hecate calls him an idiot。 Also Hecate and Hermes ganging up on Hades give me life, the way the three I like the idea that we see Hades side of the relationship, and everything he was doing in ATOD。 More interesting (and funny) learning about his relationship with the other Gods, his sarcasm and blunt truth is just the best。 Honestly it was funnier than ATOD because Hades spends his time in a constant cycle of emotions from angst to horny and back again with the added laugh out loud moments when Hecate calls him an idiot。 Also Hecate and Hermes ganging up on Hades give me life, the way the three of them take the piss out of each other is fantastic。Wasn’t a huge fan of the Sysiphus story line (but are we really reading this for the story line。。。 no) but I can see how it worked with Hades story and showing how much he did care for Persephone, a soul for a soul。 I really enjoyed Hades perspective of the beginning of his and Persephone story, and I think ‘fucking fates’ is going to be my new catch phrase。 。。。more

I’m a sucker for Persephone and Hades retellings and so this was perfect for me。 Though this book is basically a Touch of Darkness but from Hades point of you you don’t really notice that because he’s really has his own plot going on in this book which I really liked because I didn’t wanna just be reading a Touch of Darkness all over again。 I loved that we got to see more of the gods because in Persephone‘s world she’s very isolated from the gods but Hades is right there with them and so that wa I’m a sucker for Persephone and Hades retellings and so this was perfect for me。 Though this book is basically a Touch of Darkness but from Hades point of you you don’t really notice that because he’s really has his own plot going on in this book which I really liked because I didn’t wanna just be reading a Touch of Darkness all over again。 I loved that we got to see more of the gods because in Persephone‘s world she’s very isolated from the gods but Hades is right there with them and so that was very nice to read more about。 This is more modern so it really made the gods more interesting and more intriguing especially Hecate and Hermes。 Hermes is hilarious and every time he appeared in the book I had to market because he just made me laugh and then Hecate her relationship with Hades is so cute they have this sibling close friendship and the way that they go out each other is so much like siblings。 I love the little competition that they have going on to see who can sneak up on the other I hope that keeps getting mention throughout the series because I think that’s a cute touch。 I especially love that Hecate is one of the only gods that can call he’s out on his bullshit and not get in trouble for it because he’s scared of her in a way。 My one complaint with this book is that Hades is very much a horn dog。 Every time he talks about Persephone he talks about her lovingly and then he talks about wanting to fuck her and I get it dude you really like her but come on。 When they finally got together it was just sex all the time even though there were some cute moments。 That was my only complaint really but they were still super cute together。 All in all a good read。 。。。more

Reading this from Hades’ perspective was amazing, and really rounded the story out for me。 I enjoyed it so much, with the banter and the angst and the witty characters (Hermes is a personal favourite)。 I can’t wait until the next book comes out!
